Nightpaw walked in. His eyes were wide with doubt and maybe even a bit of anger. "Why didn't you tell us?" he asked, a small snarl in his voice. He didn't mean to sound hostile, but it just slipped out. He mentally slapped himself. Even if she had lied she was still the clan leader and what he had just done was disrespectful. He made his fur lie flat and took in a deep breath to calm himself.

Lightstar figured to herself, he is jut angry withme. It will blow over, right? Fat chance. Nightpaw and Ebonyfire would probably never trust her again. And plus, what if they told the Clan and they chased her out? Lightstar let a soft wail escape her. She felt like a kit again, wanting somebody else to tell her what to do. This was all too much! First, the fight with MistClan and the strange prophecy. Second, her own apprentice and deputy realizing who their leader really was. Then another thought struck her. "Nightpaw," the leader tentivly asked. "How did you findout?"

Nightpaw looked at the ground, not wanting to look at her. "Wasppaw over heard you and Ebonyfire," he stated. "She came and told me and Foxpaw," he added. He looked back up, pur anger flashing through his eyes. "Why haven't you told me? You're the closest cat I have to family in this clan and you can't even trust me with something like that," he snapped, his claws flexing in the ground.

Lightstar felt mixed feelings well up inside of her. Sadness. Anger. Hurt. Understanding.
They mixed up inside her belly until her legs gave up and the she-cat closed her eyes. "Please leave, Nightpaw. I don't feel well, and I might as well announce this to the Clan. Let them- the ones, knowing Wasppaw, who don't already know- understand this fuss. And I must think of Wasppaw's punishment, though I won't be very harsh because mostly it wasn't her fault." Lightstar tried not to sound cruel as she glred at Nightpaw. This was one tough situation. Lightstar shooed her apprentice out of the den and stood on Highcave. This gave her a sense of power that she hardly admired anymore. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey please gather around Highcave for an important announcement." The BoneClan leader wanted this done and out in the open.

Nightpaw stood under Highcave, his eyes not leaving Lightstar's. He looked away and at the ground. He wanted this to be over with, What was he going to do when she announced this? What was the clan going to do? He wondered how she felt, but then again it was her fault for keeping this secret for so long.

As Lightstar struggled with the deep inside pain and mourning, the leader waited on her Clan to gather. She didn't want to make this harder, but she called up her deputy, Ebonyfire, to Highcave with her. She also called Wasppaw and Nightpaw. She was going to specialize and apologize expecially to these cats. Lightstar wondered if she should call Foxpaw, too, but it didn't seem ike he held an importance right now. Oh well. He was coming up here too. Lightstar was going to test these cats to see where eahoftheir loyalties layed.

Foxpaw padded upinto the highcave. 'What could she possibly want with me?' he thought. Helpless to his thoughts. He sat quietly inside the cave. Looking around uncomfortably, Foxpaw pushed the thoughts from his head ans waited for the other cats. he would ask why he's there but he didn't know how to ask it.

Nightpaw padded up to the highcave right after Foxpaw. His fur was ruffled a bit and he tried to make it lay flat, so not to worry the others, but it wouldn't. He sighed. "Hey, Foxpaw," he stated, a bit sharp, although he knew it wasn't the other apprentice's fault.

Foxpaw flinched. 'Whats wrong with him?' He sat. Waiting. For what? That was the question, 'What?' the question burned in his mind. 'What......What...' Thats all he could think about now.
