Soulstar padded up to the cave that lead deep down into their camp. 'This is home' She though getting ready to step into the darkness. She knew that her desision to bring Eagle may cause a havok with the other cats, but she didn't care. She steped onto the hard path that lead into the cave. it was cold and she could feel the old cats treading on it step by step. She flicked her tail to tell Eagle to walk along side her. It should help him feel better than walking alone behind her. "Don't mind the looks the other cats give you." She told him.

Eagle nodded hesitantly. This seemed dangerous. Even Eagle knew that these cats could easily kill him. This cat allowing him to walk beside her through the dark tunnel semed like she controled the others, though, so he only had to stay on her good side. The tom resisted the urge to ask how she possesed this power.

Adderpaw::Moonclan Apprentice:: Adderpaw greeted Soulstar dipping her head. He smiled as the cats from other clans walked pass him. The tom only notice Eagle when he looked around, "Hello Soulstar, I have seen that you have brought home someone." The tom smelt like a loner, he had no Clan Scent. He gave a soft look, a pitiful one hidden in his seemingly innocent eyes. |

Eagle noticed the look he got from another young cat. The tom puffed out his orange chest, trying to look proud, but he also smiled to let the cat know he looked nice.

Soulstar looked at the young apprentice. "Yes, be nice. He was curious about what we were doing at the gathering, and besides I couldn't just leave him there. He'd be torn to peices by a clan if he wandered onto clan territory." She said with amusement in her voice. "This is Adderpaw, one of the apprentices." She looked at Adderpaw, "I must go, but you may come along if you want." She said padding onward toward her den.

Eagle watched Adderpaw. "So," he asked Adderpaw as hefollowed the leader. He wanted somone his age to talk to,and this cat was the closest. "Why is there a paw at the end of your name? Why nt just Adder? Would I be Eagle paw?"

Adderpaw stared softly at Eagle, having this loner might not be so bad, "My name is Adderpaw because I'm training to be a warrior, all apprentices' names end with '-paw', which symbolizes the path our paws are on, until we receive our warrior name. I share a den with Lovepaw and Wolfpaw. There are many more things about apprentices, but I don't want to go too deep. Your name would be Eaglepaw, yes. We need more warriors, our clan is lacking cats sadly." He followed Soulstar into her den. It was probably not the best idea to announce it in front of the whole clan, smart. He thought. Adderpaw liked this cat, he didn't seem hostile like most loners. |

Eagle waited patiently as Adderpaw finished speaking. "So, what happens when you recieve your warrior name?" Eagle was more than mildly curious. "And what is this great cat's name?" he asked Adderpaw, pointing his striped ginger and white tail towards the leader.

Soulstar padded on into her den, listening in on the two behind her. She only smiled. At the back of the den she sat down and faced the two cats. "Make yourself comfortable." She said softly. "Now what would you like to know first?" She asked. Her head was spinning with the events of the day, and she was willing to tell this uneducated rogue everything about clan life.

"Well... uhm... how do you choose names? Do the leaders like you and the other two have certain names?" Of course, Eagle the orange tom had more questions, but this was one main one.

"Well the first part of a cats name is chosen by their mother and father, but the second part changes as they grow older. A kits name would end in 'kit' then it changes to 'paw' once they are six moons old. Then if we see them fit to be warriors there warrior name is chosen by the leaders. Leaders have the ending 'star' in their name." She paused, "I'll use my name for example, my name throughout my life changed form Soulkit to Soulpaw then to Soulshadow, and now is Soulstar." She said glancing at Adderpaw.

Wow. Eagle listened as he took in all of this strange information. "So, your name is Soul, in my world," he figured. "Mine is Eagle, so that would make me Eaglepaw? That is just amazing... By the way, do you know a cat named Light? She had a sister named Lemon who told me she came here..." Eagle wanted to know before he asked any more questions. "You see, her mother was friends with mine before I was born."

Soulstar gave the loner a questioning look. "Your were talking to 'Light' earlyer. She's Lightstar now though. She was the one defending you against the other cats." She sighed. "I don't know why every cat has a problem with loners." She said half to herself.

Surprise flashed through Soulstar's eyes, "No...You shoulkdn't go telling other cats that though." She said tryiong not to sound like she was scolding a kit. "It could bring troube to her." Soulstar shook her head. She lifted her paw and licked it. An ant had been crawling in her fur.
