Lightstar led her cats on the patrol, completly ignoring the weather. Something fishy was going on, and the way tension with MistClan filled the air made her fur stand on end. She saw it in her warriors, too. Featherstorm and Foxpaw seemed perfectly coordinated as they marked the border together. They had to make it strong. Who knew what those MistClan cats were up to? For extra back-up in case this was an attack waiting to happen, Lightstar had brought Oceanripple and Nightpaw along. Ebonyfire and her apprentice, Wasppaw, were back at camp and would come if need be, but if MistClan wanted to invade camp, the would would be ready. There was a sharp yowl, and Lightstar spun around, a wave of another Clan's scent on the tip of her nose.

Silverstar::Mistclan Leader:: Silverstar arranged the battle patrol, leading it in the front. The tension between Lightstar and her was too much. It couldn't be ignored, especially after the gathering. She had her apprentices and warriors ready, Fireface, Greyheart, Silverstorm, Hawkrise. The apprentices were ready, Leopardpaw, Crecentpaw, and Blazepaw they've learned enough, and they wanted to go. "If it's a war you want, it's a war you'll get Lightstar" Her soul was full of energy as her patrol was heading towards the Boneclan territory, soon the large Trees shall be Mistclan's hunting territory. Silverstar charged up at Lightstar, giving off the bloodthirsty yowl that echoed through the night. Blood will stain the stream.

Lightstar spit as she came face to face with the MistClan cats. Immediatly, Lightstar dodged a hissing Fireface so she could reach Silverstar. In the midst of the battle, time stopped. Everything moved slow motion. The cats around her moved with incredibly slow movements, and you could almost see their claws deciding whether to spring in or out in unision with their teeth. I was a battle- fierce and heart-pumping. One that Lightstar was going to thrive of of and hopefully use to the advantage of gaining Silverstar as an allie one day (like that would ever happen). As the battle waed on around them, Silvestar and Lighttar stood in the middle of the hurricane, the eye of the storm, the ones to stop i at ny moment if one backed down, and it wouldn't be Lightstar. No, not this time. BoneClan had lost their fair share, and she wouldn't let it happen again. "Silverstar," Lightstar's usual perky-like voice as ridden over with dryness like her Clan name- as dry as a bone. "What is the meaning of this nonsense?" Lightstar wanted to hurl out insults at amazing speed, but that woud be kit-like.

Silverstar smelt fear. Fear is a biggest nightmare. Fear is what devours you, and weakens your soul. The Boneclan cats were clearly scared, she can tell her clan was too, "Nonsense? You call a starving clan, Nonsense? If you can't see Lightstar, my clan is dieing. We need more food. Kits and elders have died. Our stream has dried up. Our prey is moving." She spat the words, Her eyes full of hatred. Confusion. The gaze went right to Lightstar. She wanted to attack Lightstar right then and there. But of course, that was unnecessary, the leader's voice was hard and harsh. It was raspy with exhaustion and lack of food and water. "Starclan has given up on us, we need food. Water. Your clan has been well fed and taken care of, while our clan- is dieing of starvation." Silverstar flickered her tail to Fireface, and Jaypaw, all of the other warriors and apprentices. All of them were hungry. Their bones were showing, "We need it, our clan has suffered the most. We are practically falling." She herself- was practically bone and skin. Her eyes were dull, her fur ragged and clumped. Silverstar hated to see herself, a leader this way, but what was done was done. There was no going back as another cat ran into her. Is this what Starclan wanted? Bloodshed and pain? The leader wondered to herself, and wasn't quite sure if she was still sane herself. She stepped forward, "We fight to survive."

Lightstar blinked in confusion. Was Silverstar so desprate that she was going to try to steal food from BoneClan? Sure, BoneClan had enough food, but that wouldn't necisarilly last. In fact, just the other day, her and Nightpaw together had not been able to catch more than a rare water vole and mouse that was already half dead! BoneClan's food sources were disappearing, too, and they needed all they could get. Lightstar would only help MistClan, of course, if MoonClan helped, too. Sure, it may be in her nature to help Silverstar and her Clan, but she reminded herself that she was leader and couldn't always let feelings in the way of power and ownership.
The she-cat growled. "Silverstar, you do fight to survive, and I seem to want to acnowledge that with honor, but this is my Clan, my prey, mine. BoneClan lives here. It is ours, and I will defend it with all of my lives!
Lightstar let out a hiss and sprang out towards Silverstar. She was not going to let this leader come into her terriory and fght for what was hers! This was definatly not acceptable! But then, the she-cat leader thought to herself, Would I have done the same thing in Silverstar's place? That thought didn't stop her, though, from jumpng out and leaping on top of the MistClan leader, oblivius to the battle raging all around her.

Silverstar knew that Lightstar would burst anytime, even if they were talking, nobody would put up against a leader, it was Silverstar's and Lightstar's battle. The battle for rights. It had to be done. Silverstar narrowed her eyes, looking defiantly at Lightstar. If she lost this life, it would be her eighth. If she would lose this one- she'd have no more to leave. She had ambition, the first time since she was a leader, ambition. Ambition for the clan, for their clan.
The leader gave a loud yowl, Silverstar leaped back at Lightstar as timed seems to slow. Something suddenly struck Silverstar, a piercing regret that would haunt her forever. Something Starclan would have sent, but what? A omen? She landed beneath the leaping Lightstar, petrified for several moments. It seemed that it was a message, but it didn't say anything. She stopped suddenly, with a distant look on Silverstar's face. As she looked at Lightstar's eyes, then reverted back to the rage-full, battle hungry ones, "This means war!"

((OOC: Warning: This post sucks. Don't judge me, please!))
Lightstar noticed Siverstar falter in what she was doing. The BoneClan leader gave her a quizzical look before hissing as Silverstar fully declared war. Oh, this was on! "Silverstaar," she sai again, jmpind once more.

As Lightstar pinned Silverstar down, the leader relaxed, trying to think of a come back. She couldn't think of anything for a minute, suddenly, a thought came to her. She grabbed of on Lightstar's legs, and mustered the energy to bite on her foot, aiming right in the middle. Keep biting, even if Lightstar was a friend. She is an enemy now. Her teeth felt fur, as the weight was on her shoulders.

Lighstar felt Silversta grp her foot, and she shrieked. "Geddaoff geddaoff," the she-cat screeched over and over. Her only escape was to nip at the other leader's ears. "Let go," she growled, pain excruciating. Finally, the cat got a hold of er ear, not letting go either, ntil Silverstar ecided to lt go.

As the pain shocked through Silverstar's ear, she sheated her claws and sank one into the ground. It would let her stay on the ground. She let go of Lightstar's paw, which she saw left a nasty gash on the foot. She used her other paw, sheathed, right at the other leader's face, Hoping that something would happen.

Hawkrise bounded towards the leaders and leaped at Lightstar. "Get off of her! Fight me instead," he snarled, his claws digging into the other cat's shoulder, hoping to push her off of his leader. His eyes held fury and rage in them and he was a rather large cat. He was skinny too, just as bad as Silverstar, but he knew he could risk his life. She couldn't risk hers.
Nightpaw was in a tangled mess with Leopardpaw. Both toms were screeching and hissing at each other. Suddenly, Nightpaw bit into Leopardpaw's neck. He didn't know what he was doing. This was his first real battle and right now his instincts told him to kill the cat that was lying under him. That was until he felt a cat's fangs dig into his scruff and drag him off. He tried to break free, but he couldn't. Looking up, he saw Silverstorm. She dropped him.

Lightstar was about to nip at Silverstar's nose instead, but stopped when a new cat, Hawkrise, was it?, leaped at her, bowling the silver she-cat off of his leader. "Well well well,"Lightstar sneered, trying to pick up her hand. "What if I don't want to fight you, huh? What if this is Silverstar and I's fight?" The cat kept her eyes fixed on Silverstar as she talked so the cat she wouldn't take Lightstar on, using her advantage.
Lightstar backed up a step, nearly treading on Nightpaw and Leopardpaw. The BoneClan leader hissed. Sure, this was Nightpaw's fight, so she backed off as Silverstorm pulled him off. Oh no, that wasn't over for her apprentice! The leader once again hissed, this time at Silverstorm. Silverstorm was a fast opponent, so Lightstar was going to have to use her own speed as an advantage. "Stay away from my apprentice," she growled. With that, Lightstar jumped onto Silverstorm's back, biting her scruff until the silver cat let Nightpaw go. A warrior, even if young, had no place fighting an apprentice unless they attacked first. Dripping blood from her ear, the leader hung on as she felt Silverstorm's battle lust take over. The she-cats raged in their battle until a loud noise echoed around the fighting cats. Thunder. Could this be a sign from StarClan? Probably not, because they had not sent a sign in so many moons! But no other cat seemed to notice any thunder, just the steady downpour of rain on the glittering bloody ground. Then a voice whispered in her ear, The Soul will follow Silver stars, while the Light one shall reside alone. The steam will be stained with blood as the Light is smothered by the dark uniting forces. Soon the clans will have to unite against the unknown force, or die in a loner's grasp. Lightstar gasped. It was a sign! But no other cat noticed the voice. Why didn't Silverstar hear it, or at least the thunder? Lost in her confused thoughts, Lightstar felt herself be turned over.

Foxpaw flung himself at a larger grey cat. It stepped to the side and Foxpaw crashed into some bushes. he quickly got up and jumped again. He was determined to beat this cat, and win this battle. He nipped the cats ear. it only gave a grunt of pain. This cat was surprisingly strong. He rolled under it's belly and slashed it while rolling out on the other side. It tackled him and Foxcpaw gave a gasp of surprise. It bit down on his neck 'HE'S GONING TO KILL ME!' The thought burned into his mind. As soon at the cat let go Foxpaw ran off into the bushes towards camp. The blood dripped from his side and neck. His breaths soming in gasps. Greyheart watched as a small red cat hurled itself at him. He moved letting the small cat crash in a bush behind him, but the red cat quickly got up and sprung again this time nipping Greyhearts ear. He grunted and batted at his attacker. He managed to dig his claws into the small cats side. it shreiked and pain flashed in its eyes. It rolled under him cutting his belly open, noit badly, but it stung. 'Time for you to go home!' He though before throwing himself at the little cat. It gave a small gasp of surprise as Greyheart bit his neck, not enough to kill him just enough to make the cat leave. it worked at it ran off into the bushes.

Silverstar jumped at Lightstar, which made her turn over. She was about to swipe at her while taking on the leader, but felt the distant gaze go through her. Even if she must, Silverstar couldn't. She was petrified for a moment, looking deep into Lightstar's eyes as the rain got harder and harder, making the battle more tense. No, she couldn't, Silverstar felt the time slow again, hearing nothing but rain. The leader couldn't continue attacking Lightstar, she couldn't attack her old friends, even though she was an enemy now. The leader stepped off of her former friend. She was standing there, looking at Lightstar of what would happen. Then a stabbing thought came to her, did Starclan send a message?

Silverstorm hissed at Lightstar and scrambled to her paws. She looked at Nightpaw and then at Leopardpaw. "It is against the warrior code to kill a cat, no matter if you're an enemy or not. This is not a battle to the death," she snarled before running away into the wave of cats to attack someone else.
Hawkrise got Leopardpaw to his paws and sent him back across the border. "Get to a medicine cat and stay there," he ordered, before turning around.
Nightpaw snarled and leaped at Hawkrise, grabbing onto his scruff and digging his sharp claws into the warrior's broad shoulder's.
